The role of the Events Officer is to join our award winning Events Team to deliver our portfolio of UK and International Events. Childreach International have the largest and longest established student fundraising team in the UK. The role will be responsible for maintaining the overall level of funding from one specific region of the UK to support Childreach International’s projects worldwide. They will be responsible for managing regional relationships and engaging local stakeholders in Childreach international’s work through Events fundraising. The role encompasses both the recruitment of participants for the events as well as supporting them with their fundraising.
The Events Team will be based in Childreach International’s London Office during training before relocating in August to their region. The Events officers will be expected to work from home with regular travel within their allotted region between September and February. There will also be monthly meet ups of the whole team for training. From the start of their contract, the Officers will commence internal training on the role and preparation. From September to February, the main focus will be successfully recruiting participants with our student RAG and University partners, after which the key focus will be on supporting fundraising of participants and managing the university relationships.
The Head of Events will be managing the department; however, the candidate will be expected to be able to work independently whilst being managed remotely. This exciting role is a full-time permanent position within the Fundraising Team, with huge scope to raise the money that will change the lives of countless children. This role is solely responsible for our Event products within their assigned region; candidates can indicate regional preferences upon application.
