At Childreach we always love hearing about the success of our fantastic student fundraisers, particularly when they win awards that recognise their amazing achievments. Today we are sharing the success of one of our student Team Leaders, Pawan Yonjan from the University of Reading who was recently been awarded Fundraiser of The Year at the annual RUSU Student Activity Awards. Pawan has been working tirelessly as a Team Leader for the Big Build Nepal and has been supporting his team of 14 students all whilst fundraising himself. We have seen him attending training weekends, orgaising group fundraisers and completing some impressive fundraising towards his own target.
We asked Pawan about the award and his achievments as a Team Leader, he said:
"I do try my best to help my team as the Big build project itself has intangible value to me in the sense that I am doing it to help my home country! Before they presented the award, they said recognised that they my commitment to the cause and were extremely pleased with the effort I have put in towards helping my team with fundraising throughout the year! I think it also helped that the Big Build group are so proactive with fundraising as they all work so hard for this great cause and charity! Having said that, I don’t think any of this would have been possible without the support of Reading RAG and Hannah Geddes who have been so supportive towards me and my group so far!"
A massive congratulations again Pawan for this amazing recognition and thank you so much for you continued support.
If you have also been recognised for your fundraising or volunteering then make sure you tweet your success @childreachevent or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to sharing your success!
