Below are just some of the activities we run to enhance your curriculum and create a fun and engaging way for children to get involved in international development.
![]() ![]() General Assemblies A member of Childreach International visits your school and holds a general assembly (at no cost to you) for
the children. The ‘Citizens of the World’ presentation aims to give the children an understanding of global development issues by educating them on life in the developing world. The children are made to think about diversity and poverty. The presentation is roughly 20 minutes long, is interactive and only makes use of colourful, positive images. ![]() Teacher Support For the My School My Voice to have a sustainable impact on your school, all your staff will need to be aware of what is happening and be on board. So besides holding an assembly for the pupils, we can also host an information meeting for your teachers and staff to give them more information on Childreach International, the projects we support and everyone’s expectations. ![]() Workshops Our workshops serve to deepen the children’s engagement with issues of global diversity and international development. This could mean a more in depth look at life in the country of their partner school; exploring and discussing any preconceptions the children have and focusing on real facts. Or we offer workshops that challenge children to relate their own experiences to those of children in the developing world and re-examine things they take for granted. All our workshops are free. Adding a global dimension to your curriculum will extend pupils’ view of the world by exploring their perceptions and connections to others and help them understand cultural and political differences. In today’s interconnected world it is important that children view themselves as part of a global society and see how their everyday actions and behaviour impacts others. There are many ways to easily and creatively incorporate the global dimension across the curriculum and Childreach International is here to help suggest projects and activities!
