Firoz Patel - Chief Executive

Firoz is one of the founders of Childreach International and has overall responsibility for the strategic direction, governance and financial management of the charity. He graduated with a first class honors in International Development and NGO management and has spent time working in both the private and the public sector before moving into the third sector. His vision and drive has been invaluable in providing the charity with its strategic direction. Firoz is passionate about putting children at the heart of development. His aspiration is to create a world in which all children realise their full potential. In his spare time he enjoys reading and is a keen cricketer.

Greg Clark - Director of Operations

Greg has a background in corporate banking, accounting and more recently, International Development. He is responsible for safeguarding all money coming into, and going out of the charity. As well as managing Childreach International's finance department, a key part of his role is to build the capacity of our international field offices and partner organisations to ensure rigorous financial management and protection of donor funds. Having also spent three months volunteering on one of our school development projects, Greg has first-hand knowledge of the true value of Childreach International's activities. His outside interests include failing to solve cryptic crosswords and training to swim the channel.

Bhawna Gupta - Finance Officer

Bhawna has an MBA in finance and is working towards an ACCA professional accountancy qualification. As well as being responsible for processing all incoming funds for the charity she also maintains our accounting records and provides financial reports to all areas of the organisation from fundraisers to the board of trustees. Her outside interests include successfully solving Sudoku puzzles and landscape painting.

David Milton - Director of Fundraising

David started with Childreach International back in 2006. His first steps involved jumping out of a plane to fight child poverty (a sponsored skydive, in case you're wondering) and from that day has never turned back. David is in charge of directing all of Childreach International's Challenge Events, from recruitment through to the actual execution of the event itself. David is responsible for making sure every volunteer enjoys a remarkable experience on their challenge.

Ranjeet Shehmar - Head of Corporate and Community Partnerships

Ranjeet joined Childreach International in 2008 with 14 years experience in the private sector, and brings a wealth of business development knowledge, which will no doubt see the charity's corporate and community donors grow. Having taught in an orphanage in Mexico and previously raised funds for Childreach International, Ranjeet is passionate about changing the status quo for the world's most needy children.

Laura Purves - Fundraising Coordinator

Laura is Childreach International’s fundraising department coordinator, managing and controlling the fundraising activities of over 1000 volunteers nationwide. With a Masters in Post-War Recovery studies from the University of York, Laura has a wealth of knowledge regarding International Development and the current issues surrounding such a complex subject. Having climbed Kilimanjaro in 2007 and worked with refugees in Jordan in 2008, Laura has relevant field experience.  With this knowledge, Laura helps the charity run at its most effective and efficient, understanding all aspects of our charitable activity, from fundraising to programmes. In doing so, she ensures that all volunteers and fundraisers enjoy the most fulfilling experience possible when joining the Childreach International family. In her spare time, she enjoys playing lacrosse, tennis and singing.

Lewis Archer - Environmental Projects Officer

Lewis has been a longstanding part of the Childreach International team and has helped pretty much every arm of the charity improve itself. Now working with the fundraising department Lewis' job is to research new funding streams and help develop new models.

Kohinoor Choudhury - International Programmes Manager

Kohinoor leads the International Programmes team in managing strategic partnerships with Childreach International's field offices and local partner organisations, and is helping to strengthen our growing reputation as an innovative child focused development agency. She is also transforming Childreach International's programmatic approach to attract funding from institutional donors, such as the Department for International Development and the Big Lottery Fund. She enjoys reading and cooking hot curries!

Rachel Neiman - Africa Programmes Officer

Rachel has worked for Childreach International for 3 years. Whilst organising the running of 2 offices internationally Rachel has recently delivered the first international capacity building training programme in Tanzania. She has represented Childreach International at the World Civic Forum in Seoul, South Korea and also led a team up Kilimanjaro in 2008.  Previously Rachel has worked in Sri Lanka pre and post tsunami and Romania working with children in an orphanage. Rachel is currently in her third year studying International Development with NGO Management.

Rachel Paterson - Asia Programmes Officer

Rachel has been a dedicated member of Childreach International for three years. She began by leading our first expedition in Nepal and has progressed to become Asia Programme Officer where she is responsible for managing all Childreach International's project partners in Asia. Rachel is currently studying International Development with NGO Management and upon graduation this coming year she hopes to dedicate her career to working with children in developing countries. Rachel particularly enjoys travelling and working in the field. Most recently she spent time working Nepal, visiting our projects and programmes in the Kathmandu district.

Cynthia Rau - Asia Programmes Officer

Cynthia Rau joined Childreach International in 2008 after completing her Masters in NGO and Development Management. She brings with her over 14 years experience in administration and higher education. Cynthia found her new career in development by volunteering in Nicaragua and Costa Rica 4 years ago. She  strongly believes that grassroots level developments are vital to communities in improving their own capabilities at the heart of which are their children.
