April 7 is World Health Day, and to mark this special occasion we take a look at what Childreach International has been doing with its project partners to promote and provide healthcare and health awareness to communities in rural Nepal.
Click on any of the images below to find out more about our health-related projects and the changes they are bringing to the lives of those living in rural communities:
Healthcare where it's most needed:
Dhulikhel Hospital, situated in the Nepal’s mountainous ranges around Kathmandu, has been providing children and communities with healthcare training to protect them during the rainy season - when their access to proper medical care is most threatened. Read about what they've been doing here.
Dhulikhel Hospital gives vital First Aid training to children.
Yangrima Primary School partners with Dhulikhel Hospital:
Childreach International have sponsored an innovative programme that facilitates a partnership between Yangrima School and Dhulikhel Hospital which will see the installation of a permanent health centre at the school. This partnership will no doubt provide huge benefits to the rural community, which is currently located about a five hour walk away from the nearest government health facility. Find out more about the project.

The partnership between Yangrima & Dhulikhel will benefit many children.
