Raju Lama performs in UK for Childreach Nepal Print E-mail

This October, Raju Lama, a leading Nepalese pop star, will hold a series of concerts in aid of Childreach Nepal.

Childreach Nepal is part of the global network Childreach International. We work in partnerships with local communities in the developing world to help improve children’s access to healthcare, education and human rights. All money raised during the concerts will go towards providing First Aid Kits for schools in rural Nepal.

Besides initial care for minor injuries, First Aid Kits have the potential to save children’s lives, especially in Nepal’s mountainous areas, where reaching a doctor or hospital can take days of travelling. In emergencies, effective first aid can buy the children critical time until they can reach professional medical care.

‘The First Aid Kits are distributed with training about health and hygiene to ensure that children benefit from this initiative in the future too. This will go in long way in allowing them to unlock their full potential in life,’ says Childreach Nepal Country Director Tshering Lama.

‘It is a privilege to be an ambassador for Childreach Nepal that is doing valuable work with Nepal’s children. Do support Childreach by attending one of my concerts in the UK,’ says Raju Lama.
