Embark on a remarkable two wheeled journey like Shona Ambrose is how. Currently a student at St Andrews University on her summer holidays, Shona Ambrose (pictured left) wanted to do something different in her free time in between studies. On that daring note she decided to cycle from Lands end, in the southerly tip of Cornwall, 1038 miles to John O’Groats in the northern tip of Scotland. This incredible feat has raised hundreds of pounds for Childreach International. What’s more, Shona climbed 10 hills along the way, the names of which spell out Childreach. Shona has now completed her trip.
“At lunch time today I reached John O'Groats having cycled 1038 miles and reaching the summits of 10 hills along the way! I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for taking an interest in this little adventure, to those of you who have sponsored me, for those of you who gave me a bed along the way, to those of you who fed me along the way, to those of you who cycled with me along the way and to my dad who drove me back from John O'Groats!” - Shona Huge congratulations to Shona from all the Childreach International team. Her commitment to this extraordinary adventure while raising money for Childreach International is inspirational – thank you to Shona and all those who supported and sponsored her. You can still sponsor Shona by visiting her virgin money giving page. Shona will soon be off on her next adventure, climbing Kilimanjaro for kids as part of Childreach International’s Challenge Events. Get involved, challenge yourself and join up today. |
