For summer 2012, we're calling on volunteers to join us at some of the UK's top festivals. From Bestival to Beach Break, we'll be giving you the chance to get on down to some of this year's most pumping festivals.

We have a number of ways you can get involved, whether stewarding's your thing or you fancy yourself a environmental activist.

During the festival you'll be representing Childreach International and helping spread the word about our work and projects around the globe. One of our favourite things about our volunteers supporting us at festivals is that whilst you work hard during your shift – you also get time off to go and enjoy the incredible music and sights that each festival has to offer!

Volunteering at Festivals is an option for everyone – some of you may be thinking that you would love to but are not sure about getting the time off work. Many companies offer their employees a set number of “charity days” in a year. These are days that you can use to volunteer for a charity of your choice – and what better way to do this than by going to a festival whilst supporting incredible international development projects! Ask your employer if they run a Charity Volunteer Days initiative today.

Seed Staff

We've partnered with SEED STAFF, who offer you the opportunity to work at many of the UK's leading festivals, in a number of positions ranging from stewarding to stage crew.

Seed staff have managed teams of up to 1,000 student staff over the past five years and have a reputation as one of the top staffing organisations in the event industry, offering you extensive training, support and development if you decide to sign up.

In collaboration with Seed Staff, we have volunteering opportunities at 15 festivals for summer 2012! Festival names will be released in the next few months so make sure you keep an eye on this page! You can also register your interest in volunteering at festivals here

Campaigns and Interactive Activities

If you’d rather take a more active role in spread the word about Childreach International’s work and certain campaigns that we will be running then we have opportunities for you too!

In September 2011 Childreach International enabled everyone at BESTIVAL to stay in touch by charging mobile phones with the power of bikes! The service was extremely popular and tons of festival goers pitched in with a spot of pedaling. And while people were getting their phones charged we got to chat to them about the work we do at Childreach International.

If you like the sound of being part of something more interactive and talking to people about Childreach International a bit more in depth then this would be the option for you! Don’t worry – prior to the festival you will receive all the relevant training with our training workshops.
