 Some of the most inspiring scenery in the world lies in the heart of South America where mountain ranges, rainforests and deserts create a hugely diverse environment. Where better to experience this than Peru, where the Amazon Rainforest, Atacama Desert and the Andes meet in spectacular style. Travel to Machu Picchu as part of a Childreach International Challenge Event Team to visit a modern wonder of the world and a UNESCO heritage site. Trek Machu Picchu is your chance to follow in the footsteps of early 20th Century explorers and discover the fabled Lost City of the Incas in a once in a lifetime challenge. In addition to the experience of a charity trek though the Andes, participants will also have the option to extend their stay in Peru and South America to travel independently and discover local culture and custom. Fundraising target The minimum fundraising target to take in Trek Machu Picchu is only £2,450. Not only will you get to take part in the trip of a lifetime but you'll also make a huge difference to hundreds of children's lives. Please be aware that some of your fundraising money will be spent on your expenses, though on average, across expeditions, over half will go directly to Childreach International projects around the world. What we do for you: Trek Machu Picchu is Childreach International's latest flagship event. With hundreds of volunteers taking part in our challenge events every year, Childreach International is dedicated to doing everything it can for you. Not only are all of your flights, transfers, accommodation and trekking costs (i.e. national park fees, guides, tents, meals etc.) absorbed but we also provide experienced group leaders to help you through every step of the challenge and a comprehensive fundraising support network.
