Feel like doing something fun this year? Feel like making a difference? This Hitch might be just for you! Childreach International's St. Patrick's Day Dublin Dash is an opportunity to do the hitch you've always wanted to do while fundraising money for charity!

St. Patrick's Day is a world renowned celebration of Irish culture and also often seen as a chance for no-holds barred partying! What better place therefore to celebrate this Irish festival than in Dublin! This event is a sponsored hitch-hike from the English midlands to the Temple Bar district of Dublin. Participants will set-off on the morning of the 17th March in groups of 2 and 3 heading for the Holyhead ferry port. On reaching the terminal, a ferry will be waiting to transport you to Dublin. The moment you touch Irish soil it is then a mad dash across the city to the heart of the party, the Temple Bar district.

The itinerary of the event is outlined below (note - the times displayed are based of the performance of the average hitcher!).

Tuesday 16th March Arrive at start point for a pre-departure briefing
Wednesday 17th March 08:00 - Congregate at starting line

Sponsorship

The minimum sponsorship to take part is just £160*. Not only will get to take part in the party of the year but also make a difference to hundreds of lives!!
*Please be aware that some of your sponsorship money will be spent on your expenses. There is also a non-refundable initial donation of £29 required.
