Introduction

Welcome to the ClimatePlus Business Emission Reporting Tool.

 This tool will take you through four of the key activities that produce greenhouse gas emissions, these activities include;

1. Business Utilities (Gas, Water & Energy consumption)

2. Business Freight

3. Business Transport

4. Supply Chain Expenditure

At each section we'll provide you with you with 3 easy methods for you to provide us with the data we need, you only need to complete one method within each section.  We recommend you attempt to complete the form as accurately and comprehensively as possible to ensure we can give you an accurate estimation of your carbon impact.

It is important that the data you input is accurate in relation to the reporting period outlined at the top of each sheet. In the business utilities sheet you will have to specify if the figures you are working from are from a monthly, quarterly or annual bill. In all other sections the data provided should cover the year.

Please note that ClimatePlus is not a carbon footprinting business and therefore cannot offer a carbon footprinting service. However we calculate your emissions from the key sources of your business operations, these are likely to cover the largest part of your business footprint.

Businesses with specific processes or requirements should contact us on 020 3137 6603 or email lewis.archer@climateplus.co.uk to discuss your requirements.

Reporting period

Calculations of business carbon emissions are typically based on an annual, 12 month reporting period. Please use the calendar boxes below to indicate the start and end of the reporting period.

Business utilities

Introduction

In this section we'll ask you for information regarding your business' water, gas and electricity useage. To complete this section you'll need to have your utilities invoices to hand. We've given you four ways to give us this information; you can simply upload your bills and we'll do the rest, you can provide us with your exact consumption figures, you can give us basic information on your office, or if already known you can provide us with the CO2 equivalent. It is only necessary to complete one of the following secions.

1. Upload your bills

We understand that you might not have the time to complete this section. If you'd prefer we worked this out for you, just scan in and upload your bills using the function below. Please note: You may need to upload several bills for each utility depending on how often you recieve your bills and your chosen reporting period.

2. Energy Consumption

In this section we ask for you to provide the exact data as provided on your energy and water invoices from the previously specified reporting period.

If your business uses coal or heating oil, please add the details below;

3. General Office Information

If no other information is available, we can estimate your office energy usage using national averages and the "Energy Use in Offices" study published by the Energy Efficiency Best Practise Programme (2003)

If you already know how many tonnes of CO2 you produce, you can enter this below.
